Why is the drawer slide not smooth?
Why is it that sometimes there is no problem with the quality of the drawer rails, but the drawer's combination with the cabinet is not so smooth?
This question starts with the structure of the drawers and slides.
The drawer slides are of a specific thickness. The width of the cabinet should be equal to the thickness of the slide rails on both sides plus the width of the drawer. If the sum of the widths of the drawer slide and the drawer is greater than the inner diameter of the cabinet, the drawer rails will appear crowded, and pushing and pulling the drawer will be difficult.
The gap between the drawer slides is relatively large if the sum of the widths of the drawer slide and the drawer is less than the inner diameter of the cabinet, and the push-pull drawer is still not too smooth.
The sum of the widths drawer slide and the drawer is preferably controlled within 10mm to ensure smoothness.
So when you are shopping for drawer slides, be sure to choose the correct thickness of the drawer slides to ensure the normal use of the drawers.
